Eastern Insurance hires Matthew Shadrick to head Eastern Benefits Group
NATICK, October 8, 2010 - Eastern Insurance Group LLC today announced the appointment of Matthew Shadrick as executive vice president to lead Eastern Benefits Group, the insurance firm's employee benefits division.
Shadrick brings more than 20 years of employee benefits and property and casualty experience to Eastern. He most recently was the national sales director for the Aon Consulting Human Capital Practice where he was responsible for its business development function.
As head of Eastern Benefits Group, Shadrick will take over a proven leader in the employee benefits industry and be responsible for guiding it through a time of great change and uncertainty as the new health care laws take effect.

Shadrick earned his BA in Business Administration from Michigan State University and an MBA from Northeastern University. He lives in Hingham, Mass. with his wife and three sons.
