Travel Insurance
Of all the good in your life, your next vacation might be what excites you most. You've probably already mapped out your schedule, paid for your hotels, and booked your flights, so now is the perfect time to protect your plans with travel insurance! At Eastern Insurance, we know our clients are a mix of wild adventurers, family travelers, and empty nesters heading out to see the world, so we wanted to make sure we could offer the right coverage for a variety of needs. That's why we've partnered with Yonder Travel Insurance, a company that provides you with a variety of travel insurance quotes from multiple companies, all of which have been tailored to match your individual travel style.
While each policy will be designed to match your specific travel insurance needs, there are a few types of coverage commonly offered by travel insurance policies:
- Cancellations: Protect your prepaid deposits and payments in case you need to cancel your vacation or come home early. Covered reasons frequently include sickness or illness of you or a family member, terrorism or natural disasters occurring in a city on your itinerary, or being laid off from your job.
- Cancel for Any Reason: This type of coverage is exactly as it sounds, and while it may not reimburse you in full, it provides you with a much greater sense of flexibility in your travel plans.
- Medical Expenses/Evacuation: Many people are unaware that their U.S. based health plan might not cover them if they are out of the country and in need of medical care. If a serious medical emergency occurs during your trip, Emergency Medical Evacuation coverage would make sure you're transported to the nearest hospital that can provide the treatment you need. Once stable, you'd then be provided a flight to rejoin your trip, or more likely, your safe return home.
- Delays and Losses: If your travel plans are delayed and require you to extend your stay, this coverage would help cover the additional costs of meals, transportation, or hotels. Baggage Delay coverage kicks in if you make it to your destination, but your luggage does not, and would reimburse you for reasonable purchases made to last until your bags arrive from their own vacation.
Protect the Good. Provide the Good.
